Grow wisdom with Proverbs

Proverbs | Commentary | The Game | About Us

I grew up in a house where we read a Proverb a day. There are 31 Proverbs so you can read one everyday of the month. Then my dad made a game of it and would leave off the last word of each verse for his kids to guess. All the sudden there were bragging rights to see how many we could get right.

This consistent input of wisdom literature gave me invaluable tools to navigate life. Once you know the Proverbs, you can see them all round you being played out in real time.

Here's some examples:

A soft answer turns away wrath. Try it next time someone is angry with you. Proverb 15:1

Do you want to avoid disgrace? Stay humble. Proverb 11:2

You want to get wise? Hang out with wise people. Proverb 13:20

This stuff is so good I wanted to share it.
