How To Play
This game can be played with 2 people, but it is best played with a small group; 3 or more.
1) Have someone be the reader to read the Proverb. (Get the Bible here.)
2) The reader leaves off the last word of the verse. The person to their left (clockwise rotation) tries to guess the word.
3) If they guess correctly, they get a point.
4) The reader repeats this process with the next person in the group. We suggest a clockwise rotation.
5) The game ends when the last verse is read. Whoever has the most points wins!
Variations
The reader can give the other players a chance to guess.
The reader can give a certain number of tries for the guesser.
"3 Point, 2 Point, 1 Point" variation:
The reader awards 3 points if the guesser says the exact word.
Award 2 points for the wrong pronoun or very similar word (i.e. "Silver" instead of "Gold," or "Him" instead of "Her," or "it")
Award 1 point if the guesser understands and guesses the spirit of the proverb. Example: "Walk with the wise, become wise. Hangout with fools, and suffer ______" Award 3 points if the guesser says "Harm," the exact word. Award 1 point if they say "Penalty," or "pain," etc.
This variation rewards those who understand the principle of the proverb but don't guess the exact word.
